This summer we made a commitment to make time for fitness (and we don’t mean fitness pizza in our mouths).

It’s not as easy as it sounds, this fitness thing. First you need cute workout clothes, then you have to find the perfect gym bag, a personalized water bottle, a Fitbit and of course a cute towel because there’s a lot of sweating involved! After we got past these minor distractions, errr details, it was time to hit the pavement.

At the beginning of the summer we found that we would get so busy running our business that we wouldn’t actually go running (or walking).  Because we had set a goal to keep our bodies in as good of shape as our biz we decided to do something drastic. That’s right, in order to really honor our commitment to our health and keep us accountable we decided to join a gym.

We are having so much fun gymshopping and trying out all of the different exercise options out there. From Pure Barre to Orange Theory, there are so many choices to get in shape. Most every fitness center has a free trial week, so we have been making the most of those and really looking for the place where we fit. (See what we did there?)

Do you find it hard to find the time for yourself? Carving out the time for self maintenance is incredibly important for business owners and can truly keep you from burning out in your business. It takes discipline to do, but if you can make it a part of your weekly schedule – just like meetings or work commitments – it will become a regular part of your week.

Our fitness goals aren’t only skin deep… Of course we would love to have a side gig as bikini models, but our real purpose is to be as healthy as we can so that we can give 100% to our families and to you, our biz besties. It’s not always about being the most beautiful, it’s about being the best version of yourself you can be. After all, if you don’t take care of yourself, who will?

Remember, our business is to help you take care of your business, but our purpose is to help you take care of you and what matters most in your life.
