Well, hello there, 2016. It seems like 2015 was just last week…
As we get ready to leap into the new year, we can’t help but reflect on the event that put the exclamation point on 2015 for us – the creation of LP2 Boutique Agency.
Hi, friends. We’re Linley+Lauren, cofounders of LP2 and WORK//SHOP, marketing and goal getting resources for small business owners, indie retailers and boss babes. Although we call ourselves business besties, our relationship is so much more than that, which brings us to this post. Our business was born out of a mutual passion for social media marketing but, more importantly, a desire to follow our purpose and take care of what matters most. You’re a big part of that so we feel compelled to share our story with you…
Once upon a time not too long ago we sat down to pray and talk. As we prayed and worked through our goals, we discovered something our lives had been missing. We had not been taking care.
We were so caught up in our more-than-full-time jobs, our more-than-full calendars and our full houses that we weren’t taking the time to truly take care of the things that matter most. Yes, we had been busy, but we had not been taking care.
If you click through the links above, you’ll see it takes lots of words to describe what we’re doing. But if you want to know our why, you only need to remember two words:
That’s not just our resolution for the next year but for the life of our company and the rest of our lives. And we hope you’ll join us on this journey.
So what does this mean?
Here at LP2, we’ve committed to take care of:
- our relationship with God.
- our families and friends.
- our customers and their communities.
Take care seems like two small words, but their meaning is big. That’s why as part of this commitment, we’ll be stepping out of our social media marketing shoes from time to time to check in and let you know how we’re taking care of the things that matter most in our lives (and to be sure you are too).
Are there things you want to take care of this year? Your business, employees, customers and community? Your friends and family? What about yourself? As small biz owners, it’s easy to put yourself last when you feel like you should take care of everything else first.
Our business is to help you take care of your business, but our purpose is to help you take care of you and what matters most in your life.
Take care, Linley+Lauren
