Create Masterpieces with CanvaAlthough it isn’t technically an “app” for your phone (you can use it on your iPad or desktop), we still think Canva is app-solutely fabulous!

Struggling to create professional looking posts for your social media feeds, cover photos and advertisements? Feel like you need a master’s in graphic design and the latest edition of Adobe Photoshop to make your content pretty? You don’t need a degree or expensive software – you just need Canva!

 What is Canva?

Canva is a graphic design tool that enables anyone – even those with little to no graphic design skills – to create beautiful and engaging content in a flash.

Canva makes creating your content so easy by providing you with customizeable, presized social media image and header templates. Beyond social content you’ll find premade templates for marketing materials, documents, presentations, invitations, ads and more.

Using Canva’s simple drag-and-drop feature you can whip up professional layouts and design consistently stunning graphics. Whether you need to create an Instagram post, Facebook cover photo or even a magazine ad – Canva can make it happen in no time.

Canva’s awesome features go even further by giving you free access to so many of the best graphics, photos, and fonts.

Here’s why you should be using it:

Millions of Images

Access millions of stock photographs, vectors and illustrations. Most are free, but you won’t pay more than $1 for the premium images. You can even upload your own!

Photo Filters

Make your photos extra special with preset filters or get advanced with photo editing tools.

Free Icons & Shapes

Choose from thousands of icons, shapes and elements for your designs, or upload your own.

Hundreds of Fonts

Make a statement with a huge selection of fonts ranging from sans serifs to handwritten. There’s even an option to upload your own fonts with Canva for Work (an upgrade available with a paid subscription).

Collaboration

Collaborate (or delegate) with Canva by allowing for comments on your designs or leaving them open to edit.

Use it On the Go

While we like to use Canva mostly on the desktop, the iPad functionality is perfect for creating content on the go!

How Much?

Free! As mentioned before, some images and templates will cost you, but not more than $1 and there are plenty of free ones to choose from.

You’re Among Good Company

Worried about spending time to learn Canva only to have it dissapear from the interwebs? Don’t! It isn’t just some fly-by-night app that will be here today and gone tomorrow. Forty percent of Fortune 500 companies and 200,000 organizations are using Canva in some capacity. There are about 6 million users on canva.com, with over 38 million user-uploaded images and 30 million designs.

Who else loves Canva? Former Apple executive Guy Kawasaki is on staff with Canva as their chief evangelist. According to Kawasaki,

“Macintosh democratized computers; Google democratized information; and eBay democratized commerce. In the same way, Canva democratizes design.”

There’s no need to make something complicated when there is a simple solution. Luckily for us it’s also free – score! So this month as you are auditing your brand and crafting your new look, you can also become a part of the design revolution and beautify your graphics with Canva!
